Uygar Aydin joined Dr. Zaim Gökbay's Research Group in September 2022 as a PhD student. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Istanbul University, Institute of Science, Department of Informatics. His thesis title is: "Affective Disorder's Analysis Based on Real-time Image and Voice Data with Artificial Intelligence," and his research aims to develop AI technologies for analyzing affective disorders using multimodal data.

He completed his MSc thesis supervised by Dr. N. Ziya Perdahçı to earn the MSc degree in Informatics, specializing in "Investigation of a university web site from technology acceptance model and information architecture perspective" at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Uygar holds a BSc degree in Computer and Instructional Technologies from Karadeniz Technical University, graduated in 2009.

His future aspirations involve integrating AI technologies into the field of psychology to make the processes of counselors and clients more effective, bridging the gap between technology and mental health support.
