Yakup Selçuk Yıldırım joined Dr. Zaim Gökbay's Research Group as a PhD student. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Istanbul University, Institute of Science, Department of Informatics. His thesis title is: "Model Design for Tracking Psychopathological Findings with Internet of Things (IoT) Data," and his research aims to develop IoT-based models for monitoring and tracking psychopathological indicators.

He completed his MSc thesis supervised by Dr. N. Ziya Perdahçı to earn the MSc degree in Informatics, specializing in "The impact of the use of interactive infographics in education on the achievement, attitude and motivation of students" at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Yakup holds a BSc degree in Computer and Instructional Technologies from Marmara University.
